In my not-so-busy daily life, I still manage to sneak a look or two at the newspaper, from where I got inspiration for todays blogpost.
I read a little about the Eurozone economy crisis ("Sounds bogus to me!"), a little about the new Sony PS Vita, ("Fake!") and even a little about baseball. ("The St. Louis Cardinals lost again???")
And then there was this:
"Girl runs $13,000 on Father's Credit Card"
It turns out that the girl had been playing Farmville (I don't need to tell you what that is now, do I?) and had bought major upgrades for her "farm", charging it all to her father's credit card.
Needless to say, the kid was grounded for life.
Now, I'm sure most of you play Farmville. A recent statistic even says that 71% of all Facebook users play Farmville, and also, 16% of that number have devoted their Facebook accounts to Farmville, for its easy Farmville connectivity.
So, if you don't play Farmville, then good for you! You're one of the few SANE people out there.
And if you do, then I'm here to change that!
Epic Fail! |
Not that that is the case for everyone. Zynga, the company that released Farmville, makes a cool $7.2 BILLION (with a 'b').
And this Farmvuille business is not just harmful for the players. You know how many hours i spent clearing my wall from stuff that said "XYZ needs your help on Farmville!"? :(
In the end there is just one thing to say to you Farmville-ers out there:
Ur absolutely ryt bro............most of ma frndz used to play this thing but now i guess they have come back to their senses :)
